Find Jesus

I can still remember the day twenty-two years ago when I was outside on a beautiful warm summer evening after school.  I had just that week taken an old jean jacket and tore off the sleeves and drew a skull and cross bones on the back side.  I had also found a pair of my father’s cool sun glasses; they were pitch black with shiny chrome rims and weighed about six pounds. It was my plan that evening to go sporting my new look all over town. 

Well, just as I came out of the old camper where I stored my duds, I heard the sound of my grandfather’s little diesel car buzzing up the road. I knew what this meant... this meant I was going to church!  On Tuesday!  I was so upset that I did something I would never before consider, I let my grandfather see me wearing my new attire.  Everything was ok until he caught a glimpse of my artwork.

          Twenty-two years have passed and I am still telling this story.  I tell it for many different reasons.  As I look back, knowing what I know now, it was a pivotal moment in my life.  I had to make a choice that day, a choice to find popularity with my new look or popularity with God. I knew that my artwork was not pleasing to God and that’s why I was hiding it in the old camper in the first place. I have had to make this decision thousands of times in my life since, but this was the first time I can remember clearly.

            One glance at the disappointment in my grandfather’s eyes helped me to make the right decision that day. I respected my grandfather so much that all it took was a look.  I am now 34 years old and respect him more than ever. I still search for his expression of approval.  For me, my grandfather is the closest I will ever come to seeing God’s hand mold me into the man I have become.

In John 14:6 Jesus says, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” 
Every person on the planet has a void in their life that can only be filled through a relationship with Jesus Christ. I found that relationship because I had a grandfather who loved me and wanted what was best for me.  He helped me find Jesus!
Fusion wants to help you do the same.
We know that there is nothing you can do to fill this void in your life, and we know that it can be very difficult to find Jesus in a world of utter confusion.

God has provided a sure way for you to know Him. The Bible says in Matt 7:13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go by it.”  Just because the road to eternal life is narrow does not mean it is difficult. Believing in Jesus is the only way… and we can help you find Him!
